Celtics, 76ers Tied At 20 After 1st Quarter

In what comes as a surprise to absolutely no one who has been paying attention, the first quarter of Game 7 between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers has been characterized by an empirical struggle to score the basketball. Boston and Philly are tied 20-20 at the end of the first quarter, which works right in line with the sub-90 point averages each team has posted during this series.

These shooting percentages are straight-up NSFW: the 76ers are 6-of-21 (28.6 percent!), while the Celtics are shooting a gaudy (by this series' standards, anyway) 38 percent from the floor by making seven of their first 18 shots.

Elton Brand has eight points for the 76ers. Brandon Bass leads the Celtics with six points.
