Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant was the 2012 All-Star Game MVP, scoring 36 points and grabbing seven rebounds in a West victory. With the West being so strong and Durant in the midst of an even better season than last, it's little surprise that he's favored to repeat as MVP in the 2013 All-Star Game in Houston on Feb. 17. Durant is going off at 13/2 odds according to Bovada.
Naturally, LeBron James is right there behind Durant with 7/1 odds. James has been playing some ridiculous basketball of late, setting an NBA record with six-straight games of 30 or more points while shooting over 60 percent in each game. In an All-Star setting with little to no defense being played, it's not hard to envision James continuing his torrid stretch.
Some other top names include Kobe Bryant and Blake Griffin at 15/2, as well as Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade at 9/1. The hometown guy James Harden is a good bet at 14/1, and one possible darkhorse is Paul George at 35/1. George is an athletic freak and excellent shooter who should excel in this type of game, so it would not be surprising to see him put up big numbers.
