French big man Mouhammadou Jaiteh will enter the 2013 NBA Draft, according to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress. The news comes from the teenager's agent, Herman Manakyan.
Listed during the 2013 Hoop Summit at 6'11 and 249 pounds with a 7'4 wingspan, Jaiteh has the kind of size that scouts look for going into the draft, but he's still extremely raw.
Just 18 years old, he's been playing well in the French second division league this year, similar to how Nuggets guard and 2012 first rounder Evan Fournier thrived there last season.
It's unclear how teams will rate Jaiteh going into the draft.
Givony rates him No. 32 on the DraftExpress Top 100 list, but ESPN's Chad Ford just him just 63rd on his list.
However, Ford still projects Jaiteh as a possible late first round pick, reflecting his intriguing talent coupled with an absence of certainty.
