Steve Nash just can't seem to catch a break. The veteran Los Angeles Lakers guard missed practice on Wednesday after injuring his back carrying bags.
Nash hurt his back carrying bags today, Byron Scott said. Did not practice. Wouldn't count on him playing Thursday vs. Utah.

The 40-year-old Nash has been plagued by injuries since arriving in Los Angeles two seasons ago. He played 50 games in his first year with the Lakers as the team failed to live up to sky-high expectations with Nash and Dwight Howard. Last season, nerve problems in his leg limited him to just 15 games.
The Lakers traded for Jeremy Lin and drafted Jordan Clarkson to help alleviate some of the pressure on Nash this season, but the team would ideally still like to get something out of him in the last year of his contract. The Lakers still owe the Phoenix Suns a first-round draft pick in 2015 as part of the Nash trade. The pick is top five protected this year, and top three protected the next two seasons.
