Elijah Millsap throws down poster dunk in the D-League

Paul Millsap's brother can get up and throw down hard

The NBA D-League is supposed to provide a place for fringe NBA talent to develop and find its way into the league. The rosters are comprised of undrafted rookies, veterans that have fallen out of favor and Hasheem Thabeet. The talent level is obviously not close to the NBA's but that doesn't mean there are not exciting moments to be found. If you don't believe me, check out this dunk by Paul Millsap's brother Elijah of the Bakersfield Jam against the Reno Bighorns:

That's as good as it gets at any level in terms of poster dunks. It's a shame so few people were actually at the arena when it happened but just like the announcer said, the moment will be immortalized "on just about every highlight .... associated with the D-League!"

The younger Millsap brother has been part of summer league teams, most recently with the 76ers, but hasn't been able to catch on in the NBA. He's currently averaging 15.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists for Reno. Those numbers won't likely earn him a call up anytime soon. But if he keeps posterizing people, he will earn a place on the pantheon of D-League dunkers next to James White and Tony Mitchell.
