Chris Bosh hit his second half-court shot of the night at the 31.4 second mark to seal back-to-back wins for Team Bosh in the Shooting Stars Competition at All-Star Saturday night.
Skylar Diggins hit a half-court shot with 43.6 seconds remaining to put the pressure on Bosh and his teammates WNBA Star Swin Cash and NBA legend Dominique Wilkins, but Bosh was feeling his range after nailing the same shot in the first round to advance to the championship tilt.
In the first round, the West team featuring Dell Curry, Stephen Curry and Becky Hammon posted a time of 1:05 to hit shots from all four stations before the Durant-led West squad featuring Karl Malone and Diggins edged them out with a time of 1:00. The defending champions made quick work of Tim Hardaway, Sr., Tim Hardaway, Jr. and Elena Delle Donne, who struggled to a time of 1:25 after taking 24 attempts to make their half court shot.
The father-son narrative was short-lived as the teams featuring the Currys and the Hardaways both exited early. Team Bosh was motivated from the start and can already look toward making it three straight wins in the event in 2015.
