The Oklahoma City Thunder punched the Memphis Grizzlies in the mouth on Saturday, and the good news for Dave Joerger's team is that it found enough answers to recover from a 25-point deficit and scare the Thunder in the second half. The bad news for Memphis is that it still lost.
The Grizzlies get a second crack at Oklahoma City after falling 100-86 in Game 1 of their first-round series, and they'll be hoping to get more out of most of their players. Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol and Mike Conley struggled from the floor and collectively shot 36 percent, the same accuracy as their team's shooting percentage. Memphis went 2-for-11 from the three-point stripe, and the issues mounted on the glass with Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson and Kevin Durant helping out Serge Ibaka on the rebounding front.
Oklahoma City will get its points from Durant and Westbrook again, but Memphis's offense will need to find something other than paint points to live by. That will also help solve the Thunder in the open court -- Scott Brooks' team scored 32 fast-break points in the win on Saturday.
