Blake Griffin couldn't play 20 minutes without fouling out of the opening game of the Los Angeles Clippers' playoff series with the Golden State Warriors. Don't expect that to happen again. The result was a 13-point, three-rebound performance for Griffin as the Warriors pulled off a 109-105 victory in Los Angeles that gave them a 1-0 lead in the first-round matchup.
Expect another back-and-forth battle in Game 2 on Monday. Game 1 included 15 lead changes and 18 ties as Golden State rode a balanced attack of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and David Lee. The bigger key for Mark Jackson's team, which could also be the Clippers' biggest worry, is that the bench unit got 14 points from Harrison Barnes and solid production from forward Draymond Green that went beyond the box score.
The scary part for the Warriors: Stephen Curry went 4-for-14 in Game 1 against a physical Los Angeles defense, and he and Klay Thompson didn't seem to match up well on the other end with Chris Paul, who scored 28 points.
