The Indiana Pacers worked all year for the No. 1 seed, and now their first-round series is down to a best-of-3 starting at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday. While their rivals, the Miami Heat, have the opportunity to sweep the Charlotte Bobcats and get some rest, Indiana's inconsistent play has the team in a precarious position.
The Atlanta Hawks have been a tough matchup for Indy all year when Pero Antic has been healthy. The floor-spacing frontcourt of Antic and Paul Millsap has effectively taken Roy Hibbert out of the series. Fortunately for the Pacers, Paul George and David West carried them to a 91-88 victory to make it 2-2 on Saturday afternoon. George had 24 points, 10 rebounds and five assists; West had 18 points and five boards. Both hit huge threes down the stretch. They might need some more help to close the Hawks out.
