The San Antonio Spurs weren't supposed to be in this position. They looked like the class of the league coming into the playoffs, finishing with the top regular-season record. Thanks to Wednesday's disastrous Game 2 and Saturday's incredible Vince Carter three, the Spurs are in danger in Dallas. Heading into Game 4 on Monday, San Antonio has to find a way to tie the series.
Tony Parker had 19 points and six assists for San Antonio in Game 3, but only scored two points after halftime. Manu Ginobili needed 14 field-goal attempts to score 12 points. Monta Ellis led the Mavericks with 29, and Dirk Nowitzki had 18 points and seven rebounds. Perhaps the most impressive part of Dallas' 2-1 series lead is that it has done it without a dominant game from Nowitzki. The Spurs have to hope he doesn't get going now.
