How Roy Hibbert went from zero to hero

The Pacers big man dropped 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a Game 2 win over the Washington Wizards.

Roy Hibbert has been a playoff scapegoat. On Wednesday, that might have just changed. Hibbert dropped 28 points, more than he had scored in six previous playoff games. He was helpful around the rim, he grabbed rebounds and he helped the Pacers stay afloat against the Washington Wizards.

How did Hibbert do it? A little mix of hustle in transition, a change in establishing his pivot foot and maybe, just maybe, a little luck by the Pacers. Not having to face Paul Millsap and Pero Antic on the arc every night may have helped, too.
