2014 NBA Draft Results: Orlando selects Aaron Gordon with 4th pick

Gordon is headed from Arizona all the way to Florida as the fouth pick.

Arizona Wildcats forward Aaron Gordon was selected by the Orlando Magic with the No. 4 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft after a strong freshman campaign in Tucson.

In his lone season at Arizona, Gordon helped lead the Wildcats to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament before bowing out in the Elite Eight against the Wisconsin Badgers. The 6'9 forward averaged 12.4 points and 8.0 rebounds in 31.2 minutes per game, earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors.

An athletic freak, Gordon was a key cog in an Arizona defense that ranked as one of the best in the country. The 18-year-old showed off his immense athleticism at the draft combine, posting a max vertical leap of 39.0 inches, the best of any big man in attendance.

There are questions about Gordon's offensive skills, and there are some who consider the youngster a bit of a tweener. While Gordon did shoot nearly 50 percent overall and a respectable 35.6 percent on threes, a major concern is his 42.2 percent mark from the free throw line.
