Ty Lawson is unlikely to be traded by the Nuggets in advance of Thursday's NBA trade deadline, according to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post and Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Lawson has been featured in the rumor mill owing to Denver's lottery status, the value of good point guards in the current iteration of the NBA, and the player's issues with coach Brian Shaw.
Lawson was a no-show for the team's Wednesday practice, fueling those trade rumors. He posted on Instagram that his travel plans went awry and that he did not intentionally miss practice. Last month, he was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Denver has other sticks in the fire, with Arron Afflalo and Wilson Chandler finding themselves all over the rumor mill. The Nuggets are said to be chasing draft picks in any deal. The deadline to trade players is 3 p.m. ET on Thursday. Check out our comprehensive rumor roundup for full coverage of the deadline.
