Pacers to acquire Chase Budinger in trade with Timberwolves, per report

The former Arizona Wildcats star is going to the Pacers.

Chase Budinger is on his way to the Indiana Pacersaccording to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The Pacers will send big man Damjan Rudez to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for the veteran wing.

Budinger is just 27 years old, but his career has been derailed recently by injuries. He's torn the meniscus in his left knee twice, and has missed 100 games between the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons before playing 67 games with the Wolves last year, his most since the 2010-11 season.

At 6'7, Budinger has nice size for a wing, and has a history of being able to shoot from the outside. He made 36.4 percent of his three-pointers last season, and hit a career-high 40.2 percent from in the 2011-12 season with the Houston Rockets.

Budinger averaged 6.8 points and three rebounds per game for Minnesota last season. He'll be expected to back up Paul George on the wing in Indiana.
