Spurs, Matt Bonner agree to new contract

Matt Bonner might never leave the Spurs.

The Red Mamba is returning to San Antonio. The Spurs agreed to a new deal with veteran forward Matt Bonner on Wednesday, according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This will be Bonner's 10th season in San Antonio and 12th season in the NBA overall. He appeared in 72 games for the Spurs last season, averaging 3.7 points per game while shooting 36.5 percent from three-point range.

Bonner seems excited about his new deal:

The Spurs have already had a busy offseason this summer. San Antonio added LaMarcus Aldridge with an $80 million deal and re-signed Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard. The team also lost Marco Belinelli, Tiago Splitter and Aron Baynes.
