The Philadelphia 76ers' Robert Covington was carted off the floor after a bizarre play where he was kicked in the face by his own teammate in the third quarter of a game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Teammate Jerami Grant was undercut jumping to contest a shot and spun around, and his leg hit Covington in the face. Covington was stabilized with a neck brace and wheeled off the court in a stretcher. He did give the crowd a thumbs up as he was being taken off the floor, per CSN's John Clark.
Grant also left the game and will not return.
Per Sixers, Jerami Grant being evaluated for a concussion, and will not return.
