Danny Crawford leads referee crew in Game 7 of the NBA Finals

The veteran Crawford will lead an experienced, respected crew in the game of the season.

The NBA announced the officials for Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals early on Sunday: Danny Crawford, Mike Callahan and Monty McCutchen. Marc Davis will serve as the alternate and the maligned Jason Phillips, who ejected Stephen Curry in Game 6, will work the replay center in New Jersey.

Crawford, considered one of the best NBA officials and a Finals regular, worked Game 4 along with Callahan. McCutchen, also highly respected, will be working his third game of the series after seeing action in Games 3 and 5.

Officiating has been at the center stage in the Finals, especially with Curry fouling out for the first time all season in Game 6. Kevin Love was saddled with foul trouble in Game 6 as well with some evidently dicey calls. Steve Kerr earned a $25,000 fine for ripping Phillips by name in the aftermath of the Warriors' most recent loss in Cleveland.

Game 7 tips off at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
