Update: Follow the 2017 NBA Draft with our live updating pick-by-pick tracker.
The 2016 NBA Draft is in the books, with teams trying to reshape their future by adding the best young talent available on Thursday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Philadelphia 76ers, who lost a whopping 72 games this season, took LSU forward Ben Simmons with the first pick, hoping the 6'10 playmaker can be as productive as their last No. 1 overall pick, guard Allen Iverson in 1996.
With the second pick of the 2016 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers took forward Brandon Ingram out of Duke with their second consecutive No. 2 overall selection. But after that, the draft was anyone's guess.
One thing is always certain on draft night: there will be trades galore, and even more rumors throughout the night. Already on Tuesday, the Indiana Pacers acquired Thaddeus Young from the Brooklyn Nets for the 20th pick in this draft plus a future second-rounder, and the Sacramento Kings sent Marco Belinelli to the Charlotte Hornets for the 22nd pick.
The Phoenix Suns, who drafted Croat forward Dragan Bender with the fourth pick, also traded with the Sacramento Kings for the eighth pick, and grabbed forward Marquese Chriss out of Washington.
Serge Ibaka was the biggest draft day name traded, headed to the Orlando Magic in a package that includes Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova and the 11th overall pick, Gonzaga center Domantas Sabonis going back to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
