NBA All-Star Weekend is nearly upon us, and the NBA will take its talents from last year’s festivities in Toronto and shuttle them down to New Orleans for the 66th annual All-Star Game.
The weekend will kick off on Friday, Feb. 17 with the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, headlined by Team U.S.A.’s young stars in Karl-Anthony Towns and Devin Booker. They’ll take on the World Team, led by Knicks budding star Kristaps Porzingis.
All-Star Saturday is littered with three events, kicked off by the bigs vs. smalls in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. Next up is the Three-Point Shootout, where reigning champion Klay Thompson will look to defend his title against a tough field of opponents that includes Kyrie Irving, Kyle Lowry, and Eric Gordon. Saturday night is topped off with the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, with a four-man field headlined by last year’s runner-up, Aaron Gordon.
And on Sunday comes the main event — the NBA All-Star Game featuring the league’s top talent. The Golden State Warriors will have four representatives, but the West also features All-Stars in Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and DeMarcus Cousins. Over East, Irving and LeBron James highlight a guard-heavy team looking to bounce back after dropping the ball in the last two years.
There are a host of other events scheduled for this weekend, and we’ve got the full agenda laid out for you below:
