LeBron James rips ‘trash’ rumors about a Kevin Love-Carmelo Anthony trade

Candid LeBron James is always a good thing.

On Monday night there was a rumor that LeBron James was willing to part ways with Kevin Love if Carmelo Anthony was coming to Cleveland. Then the Cavaliers won in overtime against the Wizards and Kevin Love had his best game of the season. He scored 39 points, had 12 rebounds, and was exactly what the Cavaliers needed all night long.

James hasn’t been shy about speaking his mind this season so he did not hold back when addressing the rumors after the win. “It’s trash and the guy that wrote it is trash too. For writing that, especially during the game like that,” said James after the game. You can hear his full comments below.

James said he learned about the rumor after the game and that he trusts the front office to fix the team if they need it. What a month its been for James and the Cavaliers.

During his post-game press conference, head coach Tyronn Lue blasted the story and its anonymous sources while doubling-down on keeping his All-Star power forward.

“Yeah, we’re gonna trade him tonight. Yeah, 39 and 12, we’re gonna trade him right now,” Lue joked. “If you’ve been around me a long time, I hate sources. Just say who you are. Just be a man and say who it is.

“Just because a team wants you, and they ask about you and they want you on their team, that doesn’t mean we wanna trade you,” Lue said. “That just means people like you, and they’re trying to acquire you. So (it’s) not coming from our end, but Kevin should be happy that teams want him. But he’s not going anywhere.”

Moments after the game, Love posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account:
