Doris Burke, a known legend, just added to her legacy on Sunday afternoon during Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. She started the in-game interview with a question to Coach Popovich on how well the San Antonio Spurs played in the first quarter, as they led by 14.
Popovich gave a typical answer, saying “I thought we had a pretty good pace.” Burke, knowing Popovich wouldn’t say much else in question two, flipped the tables and instead said, “Happy Mother’s Day to me, I’m taking the reprieve sir.”
