The relationship between Kristaps Porzingis and the New York Knicks has taken a turn for the worse in 2017. The season ended with the Latvian star skipping out on his exit interview, and teams reportedly reached out to him afterwards.
That’s why it was concerning to the team and its fans on Saturday night when Porzingis’ Twitter account fired off a tweet about the Los Angeles Clippers.
In case Knicks fans thought they'd get through an entire day without some drama, it appears Kristaps Porzingis tweeted, then deleted, this: pic.twitter.com/K6f1tcDS6A

The Knicks have said that Porzingis was sleeping when the tweet was sent and that his account was apparently hacked.
In the wake of Porzingis’ apparent discontent with the Knicks and people asking about trading him, the tweet obviously drew attention. But Porzingis also defended himself, saying he contacted Twitter and providing an awfully good defense that it wasn’t him who sent it.
I was hacked last night and a post was made from my account. I have alerted twitter and they are looking into the incident.
