Cavs fans chanted 'Russell Westbrook' while Kevin Durant shot free throws in the NBA Finals

Fans in Cleveland are getting into it.

Cleveland Cavalier fans are cheering on their team, which has been up double-digits on the Golden State Warriors for much of Game 4 of the NBA Finals. It got a little rowdy as they chanted Russell Westbrook’s name while his arch-rival ex-teammate Kevin Durant was at the free throw line.

It’s a big insult for the Finals MVP-to-be if the Warriors win this series. Durant and Westbrook have had beef for almost an entire year. Oklahoma City doesn’t like him anymore, and the shouts are a harsh reminder of that. It’s nothing he hasn’t heard, but the chants haven’t really been heard in non-Oklahoma City arenas like that.

Cleveland should enjoy this type of home court advantage now, because things will get edgy if this series makes its way back to Oracle Arena.

But for now, Durant will have to embrace it, and continue his NBA Finals dominance against the Cavaliers defense.
