Tracy McGrady, Muffet McGraw, and George McGinnis headline the 2017 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class.
McGrady, a seven-time All-Star who played 16 years in the NBA, was known for his scoring prowess and incredible athleticism. He led the NBA in scoring twice and received two All-NBA first-team nods.
McGrady played on seven NBA teams throughout his NBA career, including the Toronto Raptors — the team that drafted him in 1997 — and the Houston Rockets. He was a relentless player who enjoyed soaring through the air and posterizing defenders. McGrady averaged 19.6 points to go along with 5.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in his career.
McGraw, Notre Dame's women's basketball coach for the last 27 years, cemented herself as arguably one of the greatest coaches in college basketball history. McGraw has 853 wins in her 35-year coaching career and won a national championship in 2001 with Notre Dame. But her success does not stop there. In fact, Notre Dame appeared in seven Final Fours and 24 NCAA tournaments with McGraw at the helm.
Rebecca Lobo, who played in the WNBA from 1997-2003, won an NCAA championship with Connecticut and is a one-time WNBA All-Star. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 and is currently a reporter and analyst for ESPN.
McGinnis spent 11 seasons in the ABA and NBA. He's a two-time ABA champion and a one-time ABA MVP. Indeed, he carried his success from the ABA to the NBA, racking up three NBA All-Star nods. McGinnis played power forward and center throughout his career and averaged 20.2 points and 11 rebounds.
Bill Self, who is entering his 15th campaign as the head coach for the Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team, led Kansas to two NCAA Final Four appearances and a NCAA Championship in 2008. Self has also taken home the National Coach of the Year award three times and is 416-88 during his 14-year stint with the Jayhawks.
Krause is a former NBA general manager and scout who helped the Chicago Bulls win six NBA finals in the Michael Jordan-era. Krause also won the NBA's Executive of the Year twice.
Tom Jernstedt, Mannie Jackson, Zack Clayton, Nikos Galis, and Robert Hughes will also be inducted in this class.
