Syracuse Vs. Villanova Score: Scoop Jardine Keeping Everybody In The Game

The Syracuse Orange lead the Villanova Wildcats 29-27 at halftime in Philly, but it feels like the margin should be wider than that. Nova is shooting an abominable 24 percent from the floor to Cuse’s 45 percent, but nine turnovers by the Orange — that’s almost a whole game’s worth — have made Villanova’s job easier.

Scoop Jardine has defined the game for Syracuse. He’s the game’s leading scorer with 10 points and has missed only once from the field, but he’s also turned the ball over four times and committed three fouls. Having both Jardine and Kris Joseph in foul trouble could be trouble for the Orange.

Corey Stokes leads Nova with eight points, and Antonio Pena leads all rebounds with seven. The Wildcats are grabbing a lot of offensive rebounds. Goodness I hope they are, because they’re getting many chances to do so.
