Syracuse Vs. Villanova Final Score: Wildcats Collapse In Final Minute

The Syracuse Orange have finally put together a winning streak of longer than two games, beating the Villanova Wildcats 69-64 in a heated road win. Within a shot of tying down the stretch, the Wildcats repeatedly failed to get the ball to Corey Stokes, their only player who’d been anywhere near a reliable shooter on the night.

Stokes hit seven of his 13 attempts, including five three-pointers — without him, can you imagine how much lower Nova’s 32 percent field goat shooting could’ve sunk?

Scoop Jardine led Cuse with 20 points and six assists, with Rick Jackson contributing 16 points, five rebounds, and four blocks.

The suddenly streaking Orange get a rematch with Georgetown next, while Villanova tries again to stabilize against St. John’s.
