North Carolina Vs. Florida State Final Score: Harrison Barnes Game-Winner Keeps ACC Title Hopes Alive

Harrison Barnes banged home a three-pointer with seconds left to give the North Carolina Tar Heels a 72-70 road win over the Florida St. Seminoles. The final minutes in this one were befitting a critical, late-season ACC matchup, with FSU storming back from seven down to take a brief lead before Barnes’ bomb.

The Heels now move into a likely temporary outright lead in the ACC. They have a half-game lead over the Duke Blue Devils, who play the Clemson Tigers on ESPN Wednesday night. The regular-season finale for each will wind up deciding the ACC Tournament’s No. 1 seed. That’ll spice up a lackluster rivalry, am I right?

Lest we overlook the game’s other excellent performances, John Henson turned in 19 points and 12 rebounds and three Noles hit double figures.

FSU finishes its regular season with a trip to N.C. State.
