The second game of the 2012 Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball tournament is currently in progress, and the fifth-seeded Delaware Blue Hens have jumped out to a 36-25 halftime lead over the No. 12 seed Towson Tigers. The winner will take on No. 4 seed Old Dominion Monarchs in the quarterfinal round on Saturday afternoon.
An early deficit is nothing new for Towson. They are just 1-30 overall this season and are showing why in the first half of this game. No player in the Tigers' starting lineup is shooting better than 33 percent, and the team is a pathetic 7-33 from the field. They have stayed in the game by collecting 11 offensive rebounds, but the Tigers will eventually need to hit some shots if they hope to pull off an upset.
Meanwhile, junior forward Josh Brinkley and sophomore guard Devon Saddler have each scored 10 points for Delaware. Although the Blue Hens are just 2-12 from beyond the arc, they have hit 10-18 field goals inside the three-point line and only turned the ball over twice as a team.
