Air Force Is Tabbed To Play In The Independence Bowl

The Air Force Falcons are heading Shreveport, La. to play in the Independence Bowl. The Falcons finished fourth in the Mountain West Conference with a record of 8-4.  The Independence Bowl with be Air Force's fourth-straight bowl game under head coach Troy Calhoun.

The Falcons opponent has yet to be determined, but the Independence Bowl has a tie-in with the seventh-place team from the ACC. As it stands, Clemson is projected to get the nod and an invitation to square-off against Air Force. Georgia Tech and Boston College are also in the mix for a trip to Shreveport and a date with the Falcons on Dec. 27.

The Independence Bowl takes place on Dec. 27, kicking-off at 5 p.m. Eastern.
