Oregon Vs. Oregon State: Ryan Katz Throws First TD Of Turnover-Plagued First Quarter

In Corvallis, the Civil War between No. 1 Oregon and Oregon State is off to a wild start. With minutes still remaining in the first quarter, there have been a total of three turnovers, a hit that briefly took Beavers quarterback Ryan Katz out of the game, and a touchdown pass from Katz after his return to the field.

On the second play of Oregon State's opening drive, Katz suffered a hard hit and left the sideline. Three plays later, backup Cody Vaz threw an interception in Oregon territory, only for the Ducks' Josh Huff to cough up the ball.

Katz re-entered the game and soon returned to top form, driving down the field with some impressively accurate strikes. He capped the drive with a six-yard touchdown pass to Jacquizz Rogers. The drive featured conversions of third-and-16 and fourth-and-1 situations.

With such a wild start, and the No. 1 team trying to best its arch-rival to remain undefeated, this is one to watch.
