VIDEO: Ahmad Black's Interception Return Sends Urban Meyer Out With Outback Bowl Win

Urban Meyer would probably be one of the first to tell an observer that Ahmad Black has been one of the keys to Florida's success during his tenure. The undersized safety has been a turnover machine for the Gators, picking off seven passes in the 2008 season, including one in the 2009 BCS National Championship Game, and he added to his legend today in the Outback Bowl against Penn State.

Black's interception return sealed Florida's 37-24 Outback Bowl win, and finished Meyer's Florida career with a victory.

Both Meyer and Black will move on from the daily rigors of the Florida program next year — Meyer is reportedly taking a sort of advising role, while Black will likely be a middle-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft — but Black's been the sort of overachieving, gutty leader Meyer was always looking for in his players, especially in the rough 2010 season.

It's fitting that Black sent him off in such fine fashion.
