National Signing Day 2011: College Football Recruits Prep For Final Visits

Rounding up a few straggling blue-chips making a few final official visits as we close in on National Signing Day 2011. The national championship team down in Auburn, you'll be unsurprised to learn, is gearing up for a big weekend with some multi-starred prospects.

• Five-star offensive tackle prospect Cyrus Kouandjio, whose name sounds like an action hero in a John le Carré novel, will visit Auburn this weekend. Alabama and USC are among the other schools in the mix for his services.

• Five-star running back Isaiah Crowell is also scheduled to visit Auburn over the weekend has canceled his visit to Auburn, effectively narrowing his choices to Georgia and Alabama. Note that Crowell hails from Columbus, Georgia, directly across the state border from Auburn.

• It's a big day for Auburn and Columbus, and for Carver High School, as Crowell teammate Gabe Wright, a four-star defensive tackle, will also visit the Tigers this weekend.

• In news not related to large cats, four-star offensive tackle Troy Niklas of Anaheim will visit Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish are vying for Niklas with USC and Stanford.
