The game of the season and potential national championship play-in is set for 8 pm ET on CBS, when the No. 1 LSU Tigers travel to play the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide. For all the hype that's been orbiting this game for weeks now, it's almost impossible to overstate just how much it means for this season.
Some notes in this week's BCS rankings breakdown on just how rare this kind of matchup is.
But, yes, other things are happening. The No. 3 Oklahoma St. Cowboys need a win against the No. 14 Kansas St. Wildcats to reserve their place in line for the No. 2 spot, while the No. 9 South Carolina Gamecocks and No. 7 Arkansas Razorbacks battle to take the SEC's second BCS spot should both LSU and Alabama stumble.
