That new NCAA rule meant to curb pre-touchdown joy by taking a score off the board if a player celebrates before entering the end zone? It has reared its head, and it is awful. LSU Tigers punter (punter!!) Brad Wing reveled in the glory of his 44-yard fake punt touchdown run, as he should've, but refs revoked the touchdown for this:
After the play, LSU coach Les Miles was seen pointing to the video board with his arm around Wing's shoulder before patting him on the back of the helmet. Miles isn't mad, but you can only imagine what his reaction might be if his team was down by 14 instead of up by 14.
Actually it's Les Miles, so you probably shouldn't imagine his reaction.
