BCS Rankings, Week 12: SEC Continues Strong Showing

Three SEC teams find themselves in the top-10 of the BCS rankings this week, led by No. 1 LSU yet again. The Tigers have a firm grasp on the top spot in the rankings, and are far-and-away the favorites to head to the BCS Championship. But lurking just behind is two familiar SEC foes in Alabama and Arkansas, who both occupy spots in the top-six.

In all, the SEC is well-represented again this week, with five teams within the top-15 of the BCS standings and a sixth inside the top-25. Alabama remained at No. 3, but has quite a bit of ground to make up on No. 2 Oklahoma State. Arkansas is right outside the top-five, holding down the No. 6 spot in this weeks rankings.

Moving farther down the rankings, South Carolina checks in at No. 12 this week, behind Houston and Boise State. Georgia is two spots back at No. 14, with Auburn just inside the top-25 at No. 24 in this week's BCS standings.
