Never thought we'd be putting up Missouri Tigers coach Gary Pinkel's mug shot this Thursday, but here we are. The football coach was arrested late (but not that late) Wednesday for driving while intoxicated on the outskirts of Columbia, about 25 minutes from his home.
Pinkel was arrested by the Boone County Sheriff's Department at 10:15 p.m. ET on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, then put up a $500 bond and released. According to ABC 17, Pinkel was pulled over for "lane and signal violations."
There's no word yet from the school on whether Pinkel will coach this weekend, but there does appear to be something of a Mizzou precedent here:
@Matt_HayesSNMatt HayesTwo Mizz players, Will Ebner and Beau Brinkley, had DWIs in August and Pinkel suspended them for the first two games of the season.
