They've had to use three different quarterbacks to do it, but Northwestern is keeping Nebraska on the ropes as time winds down. The Wildcats have a 21-10 lead in the fourth quarter in Lincoln.
Nebraska had dared to show a little bit of life when down 14-3, with Taylor Martinez completing a touchdown pass to Tim Marlowe to put the Huskers within four. Northwestern eventually responded early in the fourth quarter, tacking on a touchdown on an 81-yard reception by Jeremy Ebert to put themselves in front by 11.
Playing in relief of the injured Dan Persa, Kain Colter and Trevor Siemian are a combined 7-of-10 for 182 yards, a touchdown (Colter) and an interception (Siemian). Colter also rushed for Northwestern's second touchdown of the day and seems to have taken over the reins for now.
