With the LSU Tigers' win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa last night, Les Miles' squad takes command of the Week 11 USA Today coaches poll, receiving all 59 first-place votes. But it's who follows LSU that might raise some eyebrows.
That would be the Stanford Cardinal, not the Oklahoma State Cowboys; Andrew Luck's Pac-12 leaders are No. 2 and 19 points ahead of Mike Gundy's explosive Cowboys in the coaches poll, which might help make the race for the No. 2 position in the Week 11 BCS rankings, released Sunday night, a little tighter.
Alabama fell to No. 4 after the loss to LSU, one spot ahead of the No. 5 Boise State Broncos.
Elsewhere, the unbeaten Houston Cougars crept up to No. 11, their highest ranking of the season, and the South Carolina Gamecocks and Nebraska Cornhuskers exited the top 10 after losses in Week 10.
