2012 SEC Football Strength-Of-Schedule Rankings: Ole Miss Is Doomed

Just eyeballing the 2012 SEC football schedule, you can't help but feel a little sympathy for the Mississippi Rebels. Road games against the Alabama Crimson Tide, Arkansas Razorbacks, LSU Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs, quite possibly the conference's four best teams? Brutal.

And it's not like any of those home dates are gimmes, either -- they got blown out by insurgent Vanderbilt this year, you'll recall. Welcome, Mr. Freeze.

Texas A&M doesn't get off easy, and the Mississippi St. Bulldogs have plenty of challenges of their own. And we're all just amazed at Georgia coming out of this with an even more manageable schedule than the one they took advantage of in 2011.

If only there were some way to calculate HEY LOOK:

Brian Fremeau@bcfremeau 2012 SEC SOS (according to '11 FEI): 1.Miss 2.MSU 3.Aub 4.Ala 5.A&M 6.USC 7.Ark 8.UF 9.Ten 10.Mizz 11.LSU 12.UK 13.Van 14.UGA

Based on that alone, does a SEC Championship Game rematch between LSU and UGA seem farfetched? The Tigers rank four spots below the next-to-last SEC West team. Partially because they don't have to play LSU, you see.
