Marqise Lee Signs With USC, Will Play Alongside High School Teammate George Farmer

Marqise Lee, a two-sport star and four-star safety from Gardena, California's Junipero Serra High School, has signed a letter of intent to play college football with the USC Trojans. Recruited as an "athlete", Lee is ranked third nationally at his uncategorized position and is listed as the fourth-best prospect in the talent-rich state of California. Lee had offers from eight of ten former Pac-10 schools, as well as Michigan, and took official visits to USC, Miami, and Florida. The 'Canes and Trojans were reportedly his final two choices.

Here's what our friends at Rivals had to say about his athleticism:

Overall his frame is very lean with plenty of room to add serious muscle. His long lower body is the reason he is dangerous in space.
Very dangerous in space because of his smooth lateral movement and strong running stroke. He has enough athleticism and size to possibly project as a receiver, safety or huge corner. Lee also has shown home-run speed and could possibly score from any part of the field.

With high school classmate George Farmer, a five-star wide receiver already committed to the Trojans, USC has completed one of those rare package recruiting deals that haunt the dreams of message-boarders but almost never seem to materialize..
