You really can't escape conference realignment talk, can you? Even as the 2011 round's moves wind down, we're only now getting into the consequences of 2010's. The biggest: the No. 8 Nebraska Cornhuskers, in their first-ever Big Ten game, travel to face the No. 7 Wisconsin Badgers.
That might make for game-of-the-week status even without the newborn rivalry factor. Both teams have devoured weaker competition and rank in the top 15 in scoring. Much like last week's game between the Oklahoma St. Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies, this battle means a chance to help clarify which of the two is for real.
Elsewhere on the schedule, Will Muschamp welcomes former sensei Nick Saban, No. 14 A&M faces the No. 18 Arkansas Razorbacks in a bounce-back game at JerryWorld, and the No. 11 Virginia Tech Hokies take on what might be their toughest challenge until December, the No. 13 Clemson Tigers.
