Despite the fact the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell sent out a memo to teams telling them not to leak things like Wonderlic scores to the media, more Wonderlic scores begin to trickle out. One score in particular was for Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who scored fairly highly on the 50-question test, according to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Posted a 34 on the 50-question Wonderlic intelligence test. Finished with passer rating of 90.3. Hails from Big Spring, Texas. "I don't think it will be a panic pick," Tampa Bay GM Mark Dominik said. "It's a reality pick. If you don't have a quarterback in this league you're not going to win."
McGinn has Tannehill rated as his third quarterback in the draft, as do most draft experts right now. Intelligence was never really an area of concern for Tannehill by most scouts, but scoring high on the Wonderlic certainly can't hurt his chances of being successful.
