When last we saw BCS Championship odds for the 2012 college football season, the LSU Tigers topped the USC Trojans for the No. 1 spot. Vegas must not have appreciated Zach Mettenberger's performance at LSU's spring game, as USC now claims the best odds of winning the national title.
Of course the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oklahoma Sooners and other regulars lead the way, along with the Arkansas Razorbacks making a move into the teens after starting at 20/1. Why are there championship odds for the Boston College Eagles, Oregon St. Beavers, South Florida Bulls and UCLA Bruins, who combined for 18 wins last year? I have no idea, but the sports books always have their reasons.
