When the Wake Forest Demon Deacons travel to Tallahassee to take on Florida State this Saturday, they'll be without their All-ACC noseguard, Nikita Whitlock.
Whitlock suffered an ankle sprain last weekend in Wake Forest's 28-27 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels and was seen wearing a walking boot after the game. He has been listed as "out" for this Saturday's contest, according to Kenny Beck of WXII 12 News in Greensboro/Winston-Salem, N.C.:

Whitlock has accumulated a number of accolades since arriving in Winston-Salem.
As a redshirt freshman, he started all 12 games for Wake Forest and was named second-team Freshman All-America by College Football News and Rivals.com. He was also named fourth-team All-ACC.
The following season, the 5-foot-11, 260-pound Whitlock had a breakout season as he was voted second-team All-ACC and was named a sophomore All-American by College Football News.
He entered the 2012 season ranked second among active ACC players in career tackles for a loss behind the Seminoles' Brandon Jenkins.
