LSU Vs. Idaho Final Score: Tigers Maul Vandals, 63-14

For the third straight week, LSU didn't have much trouble mauling an overmatched foe, throttling Idaho 63-14 at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

Zach Mettenberger threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns, Kenny Hilliard and Jeremy Hill each scored two rushing touchdowns as the Tigers rolled up 250 rushing yards, and LSU's defense held the Vandals to 213 yards of offense in the game.

After Idaho scored all 14 of its points in the second quarter, cutting LSU's lead to 21-14 with under six minutes to go in the half, the Bayou Bengals clicked off the game's final 42 points, and blanked Idaho 35-0 in the second half.

Box Score Hero: Hilliard's 11 carries for 116 yards and two scores gave him a nice 11.5 yards per carry average.

Rankings Ramifications: With USC struggling with Stanford, LSU could solidify its grasp on the No. 2 spot in the polls after Week 3.

But Did They Cover? LSU covered its huge 42-point spread, but only after scoring twice in the fourth quarter.
