Notre Dame, Football: Act Like You Like Each Other

Notre Dame's finding its 125-year-old strategy of having the quietest possible non-student fans isn't working all that well anymore. One of the best home-field advantages in sports has eroded into a 17-16 record since 2007, including losses at home to Navy, Air Force, Tulsa and UConn. So the Irish are now attempting the drastic measure of asking fans to not be mortally silent for three straight hours:

If you're paying attention this weekend and in the weeks to come, you are likely to come across the phrase "Take A StaND." It's a subtle, yet pointed, way of encouraging fans at all Irish events to become more participatory.
