College Football Rankings, Week 3: Arkansas Drops Out Of AP Top 25

A handful of upsets opened the door slightly for some teams to make moves in the Associated Press Top 25 college football poll, but the top of the rankings remained mostly intact.

As a result of their upset loss to Louisiana-Monroe, the Arkansas Razorbacks, No. 8 in last week's poll, drop completely out of the rankings. The Oklahoma State Cowboys, Wisconsin Badgers and Nebraska Cornhuskers are similarly absent following upset losses on Saturday.

The Alabama Crimson Tide continue to lead the rankings, pulling in 48 of the poll's 60 first-place votes. The USC Trojans remain at No. 2, pulling in eight first-place votes after their 42-29 victory over the Syracuse Orange. The LSU Tigers and Oregon Ducks round out a top four that has separated itself from the rest of the teams early in the college football season.

The Florida State Seminoles and Oklahoma Sooners tie for fifth in this week's ranking.
