2014 NFL Draft order: New York Giants have No. 1 pick

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Consider the NFL Draft order the reverse power rankings with less conjecture and hyperbole.

For the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants currently hold the No. 1 pick. That has SB Nation's Giants site Big Blue View pondering Teddy Bridgewater.

If you are in the 'Draft Bridgewater/Dump Manning' camp you have gone off the deep end, there is no bringing you back and there is probably no reasoning with you.

Well then.

For the Jacksonville Jaguars, current holders of the No. 2 pick, the discussion will be about which quarterback to choose.

As a reminder, here is how tiebreakers are determined if teams have the same record: Opponent strength of schedule is the first. Then it's by division record if those teams are in the same division. The third tiebreaker is in-conference record, if only those teams are in the same conference. That's why Buffalo is ahead of Oakland in the draft order, for instance. The last tiebreaker is a coin flip at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Here is the current top 10 order of the draft. As the season progresses, the whole league will be included.

1. New York Giants - 0-6 (Opponents strength of schedule: .686)
2. Jacksonville - 0-6 (.722)
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 0-5 (.633)
4. Minnesota Vikings - 1-4 (.500)
5 or 6. Pittsburgh Steelers - 1-4 (.517)
5 or 6. St. Louis Rams (via Washington Redskins) - 1-4 (.517)
7. Atlanta Falcons - 1-4 (.655)
8. Buffalo Bills - 2-4 (.571)
9. Oakland Raiders - 2-4 (.571)
10 Houston Texans - 2-4 (.583)
