A.J. Klein injures knee at NFL combine, tweets it's not serious

A.J. Klein suffered an injured knee during Combine drills, but he says it's not serious and expects to be healthy for Iowa State's Pro Day.

USA TODAY Sports

Iowa State inside linebacker A.J. Klein suffered a knee injury on Monday. He doesn't think it's serious, but it's likely his Combine day is over.

Pro Football Talk initially reported that Klein had a "serious knee injury", but the former Cyclone went on the record and tweeted that it's not that serious, and he expects to be ready for Iowa State's Pro Day on March 26.

Later, Klein's agent Scott Smith also refuted the PFT report:

Klein managed to run a 4.66 40 time before the injury ended his day early. He was named co-defensive player of the year in the Big 12, but there are questions about his size and durability. He's unlikely to get drafted before Day 3.
