Stanford pro day 2013: Workouts scheduled March 21

New, comments

The Cardinal have a number of prospects to watch at the team's pro day workouts.

The Stanford Cardinal should see a few former players get their names called in this year's NFL Draft, and their pro day workouts on Thursday, March 21, will be the latest opportunity to prove why.

The tight end duo of Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo will participate. In 2012, Ertz caught 69 passes for 898 yards and six touchdowns, leading the Cardinal in all three categories. He's largely considered one of the draft's best prospects at the position. Toilolo caught 24 balls for 393 yards and four touchdowns.

Linebackers Shayne Skov and Chase Thomas are both solid prospects and members of the Stanford defense that allowed only 17.2 points per game in 2012, good for 11th in the country. Another member of that defense participating in pro day workouts is cornerback Terrence Brown.

Running back Stepfan Taylor will be there as well after rushing for 1,530 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2012 for Stanford. He's the draft's 10th-best running back prospect in SB Nation's position rankings.
